I got sent this great article by my friend Brian Martin today. Check it out:
A man in a hot air balloon realised he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a woman below. He descended a bit more and shouted, ‘Excuse me,can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago but I don’t know where I am.’The woman below replied, ‘You’re in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You’re between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude.”You must be in Information Technology,’ said the balloonist.
’I am,’ replied the woman, ‘how did you know?
”Well,’ answered the balloonist, ‘everything you told me is probably technically correct, but I’ve no idea what to make of your information
and the fact is, I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help at all. If anything, you’ve delayed my trip.’
The woman below responded, ‘You must be in Management.”I am,’ replied the balloonist, ‘but how did you know?”Well,’ said the woman, ‘you don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You have risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hotair. You made a promise, which you’ve no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it’s my f***ing fault.’
Now that is funny.

Ok so I was really wrong about the UFC 100. Yes Brock Lesnar is an absolute disgrace to the UFC and the long standing respect that martial arts has stood for, however, he is an absolute wreaking machine. I now officially have a new villain to hate.
Michael Bisping!!!! You are supposed to be a world class fighter. Who in there right mind circles INTO the right hand of Henderson????? Did you hit your head on the way there??? No matter, Hendo hit it for you, twice.
On a bright side I have lost 7 pounds in my first week of my health challenge. There have been some slip ups but all in all it has been very promising.
Cheers!

I used to be a mixed martial artists and have had the pleasure of training with and meeting some of the world’s best. UFC 100 this weekend is a milestone event for a sport that was never supposed to make it. Congratulations!
I will not be going to this one live (rare). I will however, be watching every minute of it at my brother’s house.
Here are my picks:
Mir VS Lesnar: I am taking Mir. I know he is the underdog but he already beat him once and that is stuck in Lesnar’s head whether he admits it or not. Mir also looked amazing against Nogeira where he was also an underdog. If Frank doesn’t win he might actually die….. so go Frank! (Yes I am a huge Mir fan)
Alves VS St. Pierre: Alves is bigger but he doesn’t have anywhere near the ability that St. Pierre has, except for one place: striking power. You can expect to see one of two things happen. Either George dominates this fight from top position and wears Alves down, completely outclassing him OR Alves puts a FRIGHTENING knockout on George. Yes he does have the skill/power to do it. I will take St. Pierre.
Bisping VS Henderson: Neither one of these guys has looked amazing lately. Hendo is old and Bisping is just good, not great. I will take Bisping in a back peddling jab fest. Yawn…

Just some stats:

I like to keep things different. When life gets boring I get irritable. So I have decided to do something I have been thinking about for a while. Nothing earth shattering or world changing but different for me. I will take a picture tomorrow and post it here and then I will take another picture in 30 days and post it as well. During that 30 days I will only be eating things that are or were alive, I will only be drinking water, I will be eliminating caffeine, nicotine and any other chemical from my blood stream, and I will be working out five days per week. I am interested to see the after effects. Will I be miserable for a week? Will I lose a tonne of weight? Will my skin look better? Who knows?
Should be fun!
